Dragonskin Damascus Steel Ring with Forged Carbon Interior

 1. True Damascus Steel
Each ring is subtly unique because the pattern is the result of how the metals are twisted and hammered during the forging process
2. Acid Etched
After each ring is cut, we give it an acid bath. The acid eats away at one metal faster than the other to reveal the pattern.
3. Hand Polished
Each ring is cut in our small workshop, hand polished, acid etched, and then polished again to a perfect finish.
4. Enhanced Comfort Fit
We use a more pronounced comfort fit on the interior to make the ring more comfortable and less likely to ever get stuck.

Our Dragonskin Damascus ring offers the strength of American-forged Damascus steel with an interior of our proprietary Forged Carbon Fiber for a truly custom look. Unlike faux Damascus steel rings that are only etched with patterns, our rings get their pattern from the forging process.

Each ring is handcrafted and fitted with a luxuriously soft Forged Carbon Fiber interior with a comfort fit.


How We Make It

Step 1: Start with High-Quality Damascus Steel

We source our Woodgrain Damascus steel from a small forges that specializes in custom patterns. The material is made in the USA. 

Step 2: Make Forged Carbon

We make our forged carbon in-house. Our proprietary method gives our material the beautiful marbling we're famous for.

Step 3: Cut Parts

We cut each ring's parts to order on a lathe, then measure them together to ensure a perfect fit.

Step 4: Buff to a Mirror Finish

Getting to a mirror finish before the acid bath ensures the pattern's texture will be perfectly consistent.


Step 5: Give the Steel an Acid Bath

Each ring's unique pattern is the result of how two steels were forged together. As the acid eats away at one steel faster than the other, the pattern is revealed.

Step 6: Assemble the Ring

The parts are cleaned and adhered together. We then let the piece cure for 24 hours.

Step 7: Hand Polish to Perfection

Polishing by hand allows us to give each ring a luxuriously soft feel.

What is Damascus steel?
Originally developed for swords, Damascus steel was created to make blades that would be brittle enough to keep a sharp edge, yet flexible enough to prevent shattering in battle. Ancient artisans discovered that when a brittle steel and a flexible steel were folded and forged together over and over, the resulting metal had the benefits of both—strength and flexibility.

That folding and forging process also creates unique and beautiful patterns in the. material, which are revealed when it is exposed to acid. Because acid eats away at one of the steels faster than the other, a relief is created, giving Damascus steel its unmistakable look—and making it a beautiful symbol for a wedding ring: two things coming together to make something stronger and more beautiful than either could be on its own.
How long will my ring take to ship?
Most orders ship within three business days. However, because each ring is made to order, during busy times it can take up to ten business days to ship. If you have a special event coming up and need your ring sooner, just give us a call or send us an email and let us know. We'll do everything we can to get it to you in time.
How durable is it?
We carefully handcraft each ring we make to last a lifetime, and we stand behind our products unconditionally. If a problem should ever arise with the quality of your ring, we will be happy to replace it.
How do I find my ring size?
Don't know your size? No problem. Just wrap a piece of string or a strip of paper around your finger, measure it with a ruler, and use our handy size chart to find our size. All of our rings are sized in standard American sizes. 

Because we give our rings a more pronounced comfort fit on the interior to make them more comfortable and less likely to ever get stuck, if you are between sizes, we recommend rounding down.
